Huge cannabis farm with £50,000' worth of plants discovered at house in East Yorkshire

Tens of thousands of pounds' worth of cannabis has been found growing at a house in East Yorkshire.

The cannabis farm was discovered at the property in Beverley after officers carried out a raid as part of Humberside Police's Operation Galaxy yesterday (Tuesday).

Some 80 plants which were fully mature and had a street value of £40,000 were found inside the house on The Leases.

Officers also discovered at least £10,000' worth of dried plants.

A 19-year-old man was arrested following the raid and as a result, 19-year-old Edison Pula was charged with producing cannabis.

Pula, of no fixed abode, was due before Hull Magistrates' Court today.

A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said: "We are working hard to tackle the growing and distribution of drugs in our communities and would appeal for anyone with information about drugs being grow in their area to call us on 101 to report their suspicions."
