Hull school closed in '˜terror hoax'

A SCHOOL in east Hull has been closed after a reported terrorist hoax.

Police were called to Oakfield School in Hopewell Road, which caters for children with special, needs at 8.25am.

The school is the latest to be hit by a string of hoaxes across the country. Earlier this week, 14 Birmingham schools were evacuated.

A spokesman for Humberside Police said: “We were called at 8.25am today by Oakfield School reporting a phone call that caused them concern. Police attended and offered advice.”

Callers to the school today were greeted by an answering machine message advising that the premises were closed.
