Leeds woman killed after car hits central reservation

A 38-YEAR-OLD woman from Leeds has been killed after her car crashed into the central reservation of a dual carriageway near York.

Her grey Fiat Punto hit the central reservation on the westbound carriageway of the A64 between Copmanthorpe and Bilbrough, before overturning onto the verge at the roadside at 11.25pm last night.

North Yorkshire Police say the driver of the vehicle, a 38-year-old woman from the Leeds area, “suffered serious injuries in the collision and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.” No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
