Lincolnshire Police launch investigation after officer's helmet stolen

An investigation has been launched after a police officer's helmet was stolen.

A member of Lincolnshire Police was dealing with an assault on December 23 when someone picked the helmet up and tried it on, the force said.

A woman then took it and concealed it under her coat just after 2.15am on Lincoln High Street.

The force have released a CCTV image of two people they would like to speak to in connection with the theft.

Lincolnshire Police have asked anyone who knows anything, or has seen the helmet, to contact them.
