Man charged with attempted murder following Doncaster stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Doncaster.

Arthur Richard Jepson, 66, of Manor Road, Harlington, appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court yesterday following an incident in the town earlier this week.

He has also been charged with production of cannabis.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday, April 7.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “The charges relate to an alleged assault in Manor Road that took place between 11.20pm and 11.35 pm on Monday, March 7.

“A 41-year-old man suffered multiple stab injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.”
