Man dies following city centre ‘assault’
A man has died following an incident in Sheffield city centre last night.
The 42-year-old man died in hospital this morning following an incident at around 11.50pm on Friday close to to the junction of West Street and Eldon Street.
Police were called to the scene following reports of an assault and a 24-year-old man was arrested and is currently in police custody.
