Murder charge over body pulled from torched building in Sheffield

Cy Cooper’s body was discovered by firefighters at a property on Bluebell Close in the early hours of Wednesday. He was confirmed dead at the scene.

A post-mortem found the 44-year-old died of multiple injuries, none of which were related to the fire.

Paul Anthony Noel Cain, 23, of no fixed address, will appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court today.

The fire is being treated as arson.

Three men and a woman, who were initially arrested on suspicion of murder, have been released without charge.
