Murder investigation launched following death of boy, 17, in Hull

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a 17-year-old boy in Hull.

The body of Connor Lyons was discovered in Ennerdale, Hull on Monday.

Detective Chief Inspector Rhod Troake has this morning confirmed a murder investigation is underway following Mr Lyon's death, which was previously treated as "unexplained".

Police confirmed one man is in custody and another is assisting officers with their enquiries.

A Humberside Police spokesman said: "We are supporting his family at this very difficult time and out of respect for Mr Lyons and his family, we ask that their privacy is respected.

"Our thoughts are with his loved ones.
