Murder investigation launched following death of 49-year-old man in Sheffield

An investigation has been launched following the death of a 49-year-old man in Sheffield.

Emergency services were called to a flat on Gell Street in Broomhall shortly after 5am on Friday, May 15 to reports that a man was unresponsive.

The man was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived at the scene. Police are now investigating the circumstances around his death.

A 51-year-old man, who was in the flat at the time, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
