Humber Roads Police said the speed was recorded on the motorway on Saturday, April 17, shortly before 6pm.
Officers said the roads are "not a race track" or a "place to test your cars performance".
The driver will be "dealt with", police added.
In a tweet, the force said: "They say a picture speaks a 1000 words... in this case a 154 of them.
"This speed was recorded on M62.
"The roads are not a race track or a place to test your cars performance.
"If you are seen at excess speed expect to be dealt with."
Twitter users reacted with anger at the speed.
One said: "Lock him up then a lifetime ban from driving.
"As a driver you have to be responsible, he obviously isn’t no argument this should be the law."
Another added: "Wow, there are some crazy people about. Could of ended fatal. Speed kills.
