Police cordon off area after human remains discovered near railway line

Police have cordoned off an area near a railway track in Hull following the discovery of human remains.

British Transport Police were called to the line near Brackley Park, at 6pm on Wednesday, following reports of human remains being found. Two forensic tents have been erected.

In a statement officers said: “A cordon remains in place while specialist units conduct further searches and carry out enquiries at the scene.

“We are currently working to identify the deceased and establish the full circumstances behind the incident.”
