A large cannabis farm has been discovered at a house in a picturesque East Yorkshire village.

Nearly half a million pounds' worth of plants were found at the property in Tickton, near Beverley, last week.

The address at Scott Garth Dive was raided by Humberside Police on Thursday as part of its crackdown on drugs, known as Operation Galaxy.

Electricity at the house had also been "dangerously tampered with", police added, putting neighbours at risk.

No arrests were made but an investigation is now ongoing to establish who is responsible for the farm.
