Police enquiries after man found dead in Halifax property

A man has been found dead at a property in Halifax.

Officers cordoned off Ing Head Terrace in Shelf around 8am today after a call from the ambulance services.

A man in his 80s was found dead at the property.

A forensic team could be seen going in and out of the property earlier this morning.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are investigating following the death of a man at an address in Halifax.

"Officers were called by the ambulance service at 7:49am this morning to reports of a man in his 80s deceased at a house on Ing Head Terrace.

"A police cordon is in place whilst officers establish the circumstances and enquiries are ongoing."
