Police name 63-year-old woman killed by a tractor in Doncaster village

Police have named a 63-year-old woman who was struck by a tractor and killed while walking on a country lane.

Lorraine Walker suffered fatal injuries in the accident on Newton Lane in the village of Sprotbrough, near Doncaster, on November 5.

She was struck by a green tractor with a single axle trailer attached which was reversing onto the lane just before 11.30am.

Mrs Walker was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 30-year-old man driving the tractor was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police wish to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, especially any motorists who were travelling through the area who might hold dashcam footage.
