Police release CCTV images after transphobic attack in Barnsley Railway Station

Officers investigating a hate crime have released images of a man they want to speak to.

At around 7.10pm on June 21, the victim was on the platform at Barnsley railway station when he was approached by a boy who began shouting transphobic abuse at him, before assaulting him.

The victim was taken to hospital and treated for a fractured eye socket.

Anyone who recognises the man in the image, or has any other information, is asked to contact British Transport Police quoting reference 2400078240.
