Police search after Doncaster hit-and-run victim Danielle, 20, goes missing

A YOUNG woman left with brain injuries after a horrific hit-and-run accident has been reported missing from her home in Doncaster.

Danielle Stoton, now 20, was involved in a hit-and-run in August 2014 that left her fighting for her life before she had to learn to walk and talk again.

The driver responsible pleaded guilty to causing injury by dangerous driving and was sentenced to eight months in prison and a two-year driving ban in May last year.

But today South Yorkshire Police revealed they were searching Miss Stoton’s home after she was reported missing.

She was last seen in the Armthorpe area of Doncaster at around 9.50am this morning.”

Miss Stoton had wanted to join the Royal Air Forces before the accident.

The driver, Sarah Livesey, 26, admitted at Sheffield Crown Court causing injury by dangerous driving, dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident.

Last December, Miss Stoton’s mother revealed that her daughter’s brain injuries had caused bar staff to refuse to serve her for being “too drunk”.
