Post office staff fight off three knife-wielding robbers as shopkeeper injured in two linked attacks

Staff at a South Yorkshire post office bravely fought off three knife-wielding robbers as a shopkeeper was left injured in two linked attacks.

Three men entered the Post Office in Church Street, Kimberworth, Rotherham, just after 5.30pm on December 29, and threatened staff with knives.

Bravely the workers fought off the men and they left empty-handed.

Less than an hour later, at 6.20pm, three men entered the Post Office on Far Lane in East Dene armed with knives.

The men forced their way behind the counter, assaulted the shopkeeper and made off with a large quantity of cash.

Detectives investigation the two robberies believe they are linked and the same men are responsible.
