A prisoner 'recently released' on licence has been returned to prison to serve the remainder of their sentence - after committing 11 burglaries in just five days.

Police arrested the Ossett resident in the early hours of this morning.

A spate of 11 burglaries in a space of just five days had been reported to police in the area.

The culprit was in possession of items used in connection with burglaries.

They have been charged with burglary offences, police confirmed.

Three cars which were stolen in the burglaries have been returned to their owners.
