Police arrested the Ossett resident in the early hours of this morning.

A spate of 11 burglaries in a space of just five days had been reported to police in the area.

The culprit was in possession of items used in connection with burglaries.

They have been charged with burglary offences, police confirmed.

Three cars which were stolen in the burglaries have been returned to their owners.

The individual, recently released from prison on licence, has been returned to prison to serve the remainder of their sentence for previous burglary convictions, and will await further court action for this recent spate, police said.
