Skelton Skips: Police investigate suspected human remains found at Yorkshire recycling site after call on Halloween

West Yorkshire Police remain at a recycling site in Leeds after suspected human remains were found there on Halloween.

The discovery was made at Skelton Skips on Knowsthorpe Way in Cross Green just before 10am on October 31.

Police units remained at the industrial estate on November 1 as investigations continued, and it has not been confirmed whether the material found is of human origin.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “At 9.57am [on Monday], police received a report of human remains having been found at a waste recycling firm, in Knowsthorpe Way, Leeds. Officers are attending the scene to assess the remains and establish the circumstances.”
