Stolen quad bike used in ram raid attempt at Yorkshire horse riding centre

A stolen quad bike was used in an early hours attempt to ram the gates to a horse riding centre in Yorkshire this morning.

The quad bike was stolen from West Rounton, Northallerton, shortly before 2am this morning, police said.

Police officers found the quad bike during an attempt to ram the gates to a horse riding centre.

A black rucksack was also found which contained a saw, screwdriver and bolt croppers.

The suspect was found an hour later and arrested by North Yorkshire Police officers.

Residents of the Rountons have been asked to check their CCTV and outbuildings.

They should report any items stolen to police.
