Teenager killed in fight in Bradford named by police as two men arrested on suspicion of murder

A teenager who was killed in a fight in Bradford has been named by the police.

Muhammed Mujahid Hussain, from Bradford, was stabbed during a fight in Duckworth Lane on Thursday, April 22.

He went to Bradford Royal Infirmary just after midnight but died a short time later.

Two men, aged 18 and 20, have been arrested overnight on suspicion of murder.

Two other males, aged 17 and 20, who were previously arrested in connection with his death, also remain in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Vanessa Rolfe, of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: “We are aware there is phone footage being shared of the fight on Duckworth Lane and would urge anyone who was in the area or with information that could assist our investigation to please come forward.

“A young man has lost his life and we would urge the community to work with us to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.”

Bradford District Commander, Chief Superintendent Daniel Greenwood, added: “The local community is understandably concerned and very distressed by this incident, especially as it is happened during the Holy month of Ramadan.

“We recognise the concern this incident will have caused and we will be working with our partners and the affected communities to provide reassurance.

“We would urge anyone with any information to come forward to us to assist with the ongoing investigation.”
