Thieves broke in through the roof of a convenience store to steal a cash machine in Eastfield near Scarborough.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after the ATM was stolen from the One Stop store on Eastway in the early hours of Saturday, April 10.

A force spokesman said: "Offenders gained entry to the store via the roof shortly before 1am and removed the cash machine, exiting via a side exit shortly before 3am.

"Anyone who may have witnessed the offence, saw any vehicles in the area around this time or who may have other information which could help the investigation please contact DC 596 Leah Gillon on 101 asking for collar number 596."
