Two men are due to appear in court today after a teenager had his hand cut off in Leeds.

The 18-year-old had his hand "completely severed" in an attack in the Swarcliffe area of Leeds on April 13.West Yorkshire Police have confirmed that two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Joshua Tilleard, 23, of Baildon, Shipley has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is also charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop in relation to the circumstances of his arrest on Sunday.

Kyle Hughes, aged 24, of no fixed address has been charged with violent disorder.

Both men are due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court this morning.
