Withernsea man murdered fiancée days after their engagement
Tony Jobling, 51, denied killing Samantha Petra Atkinson, known as Petra, in September last year during a drunken row.
However, following a two-day trial, the jury of six men and six women found Jobling - known as Jobbo - guilty of murder after just two hours and a half hours of deliberation at Sheffield Crown Court.

Hide AdMs Atkinson, 42, suffered 12 “sharp force” injuries at her home in Withernsea, including three to her neck, one of which cut her jugular vein leading her to bled to death while her 16-year-old son, harry, slept upstairs.
Jobling had accepted Ms Atkinson died at his hands but had claimed she was injured by accident while he was trying to disarm her after she picked up a knife in an argument.
The jury had been directed to consider a lesser offence of manslaughter if they found the defendant not guilty of murder but following the guilty verdict, Jobling was sentencing to a minimum of 20 years.
