Woman sexually assaulted twice near park in Beverley as police appeal for witness to come forward

A woman was sexually assaulted twice near a park in Beverley, East Yorkshire on Saturday evening.

The woman is alleged to have been assaulted by a man in the park opposite the One Stop shop in Coltman Avenue and then again on Samman Road as she tried to walk away.

The incident is believed to have happened at around 8.3opm on Saturday, February 20.

Humberside Police want to trace a man seen walking on Samman Road, who officers believe could be a vital witness.

A police spokeswoman said: "The female noticed another male walking on Samman Road at this time, and we would like to speak to him as a possible witness to the incident.

"The male witness had grey hair and was wearing a large yellow-coloured fluorescent jacket, possibly with writing on the bag, and carrying a One Stop bag. He headed in the direction of the park."
