Yorkshire Eggheads quiz star arrested over alleged killing
CJ de Mooi, the Yorkshire-born former panellist on the BBC quiz show Eggheads, has been arrested on a European arrest warrant for an alleged killing.
de Mooi, who was born in Barnsley and studied at Rotherham College of Arts, was held under under his real name Joseph Connagh.
He was detained at Heathrow Airport on Wednesday, Scotland Yard said.
He is wanted over an alleged killing in the Netherlands and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
