Customer service centre opens
The £5m building in Barbers Avenue combines Rawmarsh Library, a Rotherham Council “customer service centre” and the Rawmarsh Health Centre, which currently looks after around 4,000 patients. As well as being able to visit a GP, residents can now also attend appointments for community health services such as physiotherapy, podiatry, midwifery and speech and language therapy.
The new-look Rawmarsh Library, meanwhile, offers free internet access and an ancestry service.

“This is a state-of-the-art major investment for the area and allows people easy access to essential services in one location.”
