Cut it out... give us back our cardboard Titchmarsh

A reward is being offered for the return of a cardboard model of Alan Titchmarsh which went missing at the Great Yorkshire Show.

The disappearance of the life-sized replica of the Yorkshire gardener and television personality has left foodies at deliciouslyorkshire puzzled but not surprised.

The housewives' favourite was once voted second only to George Clooney in a survey of the sexiest men on the box.

Titchmarsh, from Ilkley, had supplied the cardboard replica of himself as he could not attend the launch of "Yorkshire's Own Kitchen" at the recent show.

The gardening guru had contributed to the food and drink guide from deliciouslyorkshire, which champions the region's food and drink firms.

Deliciouslyorkshire communications manager Jane Chamberlain said: "Alan created quite a stir amongst the ladies at the show with many stopping to take a quick snap of themselves with him.

"Perhaps someone just couldn't resist taking him home, but we'd love to get him back out promoting Yorkshire food and drink and are offering a reward of a hamper of some of the delicious produce from the region plus a copy of our book."
