Cyclist, 79, dies onBolton Abbey trip
Police are appealing for witnesses after the death of an elderly cyclist at Bolton Abbey.
The 79-year-old man. from Bramhope, Leeds, was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary with severe head and chest injuries after coming off his bike on the B6160 Bolton Abbey to Burnsall road. It is thought the incident happened near the Cavendish Pavilion and car parks at about 2pm on Thursday. Anyone with information is urged to call police on 0845 6060247.
