Cyclists grace historic streets

hundreds of cyclists will race through York when the city centre cycling races return for a third year.

Promoted by Clifton Cycling Club together with British Cycling, the event on Sunday, July 21, will see hundreds of cyclists from grassroots to elite level take part.

The date chosen is a significant one in the world cycling calendar as it is when the 100th Tour de France will draw to a close in Paris. After the stage has finished the baton will be passed to Yorkshire to host the Le Grand Départ 2014 with stage two starting in York.
