Designer unveils celebration of students’ brightest artwork
Brightest Spark was opened by Corin Mellor, son of designer David Mellor, and creative director of the family-owned business David Mellor Design.
David Mellor studied at the Sheffield College of Art’s junior art department in 1942, then progressed to the Sheffield College of Art three years later.

Speaking at the launch, Corin Mellor said: “I grew up in Sheffield and have seen it change considerably.
“Creative subjects have become more important to the city, and have played an integral part in Sheffield’s reinventing of itself.
“It’s fantastic so see so many different disciplines brought together under one roof.
