Detectives arrest woman as they investigate 'suspicious' death of pensioner near Grimsby

Humberside Police said its officers were on the scene in Grimsby Road, Waltham, where a man died at a property this morning.

His death is being treated as suspicious and work is continuing to establish the circumstances.

The 28-year-old woman arrested is currently being held in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Stewart Miller, who is leading the investigation, said: “We believe this to have been an isolated incident, and there is no risk to the wider public. The woman we have arrested was known to the man.

“We have specialist officers in place to support the man’s family and our thoughts are with them at this very difficult time.”
