Developer’s hospital site pledge

THE developers of a former hospital site in Yorkshire have pledged to work with local people.

Bosses at Humber NHS Foundation Trust have announced Manchester-based PJ Livesey Group as the preferred developer for the Beverley Westwood Hospital. The sale is subject to planning permission being granted for the site, valued at around £4m, which includes a grade-two listed former workhouse.

A spokeswoman for PJ Livesey said: “We are committed to preserving historic buildings, that’s what we endeavour to do. We have a reputation for working very closely with communities, English Heritage and civic groups to get the best possible outcomes.”
