Coastguards rescued two people and two dogs who were cut off by the tide at Old Fall at Flamborough yesterday afternoon.

The team set up a safety system to allow one of the volunteers to approach the cliff edge. The stranded walkers were taken back to South Landing by Bridlington inshore lifeboat.

A spokesperson said: “Always check the tide times when going for a walk along the beach below the cliffs.”
