Doors 2 Floors: Leeds firm announces major expansion with new showroom and warehouse
A YORKSHIRE-based doors retailer has announced a major expansion in the region as it looks to strengthen its operational network.
Doors 2 Floors has announced plans to open a new showroom in Leeds, alongside a warehouse facility in Doncaster, adding to its existing office and showroom in Batley and an established showroom in Bradford.
It comes as the company continues in its bid to build on its UK-wide presence.
The business, which specialises in internal and external doors, operates alongside its sister company, Click It Flooring, and also supplies composite front and back doors through its Batley Composite Doors division.
The firm said that although its online arm is currently its principal sales platform, the new Leeds showroom is set to provide an “enhanced retail experience for homeowners, developers and trade professionals”.
The new Doncaster warehouse will also expand stockholding capacity for the firm and aim to “improve fulfilment efficiency across the country”.
Speaking on the announcement, Doors 2 Floors managing director, Ismaeel Basar, said the expansion reflects both the firm’s growth and its “ambition to further strengthen its national operations”.
He said: “As a business already serving customers across the UK, this investment is about reinforcing the infrastructure that supports our continued growth.
“Leeds is a key destination for us and will allow customers to fully experience our range, while the Doncaster warehouse will significantly enhance our logistics capabilities and help us meet demand nationwide.”
He added: “This expansion allows us to build on strong foundations while continuing to deliver for customers across the country.”
Doors 2 Floors said the new Leeds and Doncaster sites are expected to create jobs across sales, warehousing and customer service, while “reinforcing” Yorkshire’s role as a strategic hub within its national network.
The announcement comes after Doors 2 Floors recently received a prestigious corporate social responsibility award recognising its work in the community.
The firm is set to receive the International Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Award at a presentation ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on June 1.
It comes after the company was involved in a range of local initiatives, supporting charitable causes and community-led projects across Yorkshire, including work with The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and a number of local schools. The business also announced that it is set to take part in the Catwalk element of London Fashion Week.
