A POWER cut affected around 50 homes in the Bramley area of Leeds today.

Northern Powergrid said the power cut, which was caused by an underground cable fault, started just after 1.30am today. (Thursday March 10)

A spokeswoman said the fault affected power supply to around 50 homes in the LS13 area.

The underground fault was located on Main Street, next to Fall Park Court in Bramley.

The Northern Powergrid spokeswoman said power was restored just before 3.30pm today, adding: “The engineers have had to locate the fault and replace the section of faulty cable.

“We are very sorry for the disruption to our customers today. Our engineers worked hard to get supplies back on as soon as possible.”
