Duchess’s plea
BY choosing the theme of children’s hospices for
her first video message, released on the internet yesterday, the Duchess of Cambridge makes it clear that this is a cause very close to her heart.
Speaking movingly of the inspirational help that hospices provide, offering lifelines to families at a time of unimaginable pain, the Duchess also makes it clear through footage of her own visits that, while hospices offer end-of-life care, they are also places that celebrate the enjoyment of life in all its abundance.
And, in so doing, she demonstrates not only her support for this most worthy of causes, but also her equally admirable determination to use her place in the Royal Family to champion those most in need of her help and attention.
