Elderly driver dies and two others injured after Hull crash

An 80-year-old woman from Hull has died after a crash in the Anlaby area of the city.

She was driving a white Audi A1 which was involved in a collision with a white BMW X5 yesterday afternoon.

The crash happened outside the leisure centre on Springfield Way just before 3.30pm.

Two people travelling in the BMW – an adult front seat passenger and a child sitting in the back – suffered minor injuries.

Humberside Police said they were not naming the deceased woman at this time.

Witnesses are sought to the incident and anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting log number 386 of 28 July.
