Driffield agricultural firm placed in administration

A DRIFFIELD based breeding stock suppliers has been put into administration.

ACMC has a reputation for its work in pig genetics.

Bob Maxwell and Rob Sadler of Begbies Traynor were appointed as joint administrators of Agricultural Contract and Marketing Company (ACMC) Ltd on Monday.

The company supplies genetically-advanced breeding stock to farmers all over the world.

A family business established in 1990, ACMC is known as a leader in the world of pig genetics and employs 35 staff.

In a statement issued today, Begbies Traynor, said the company is continuing to trade in administration “in order to sell the business as a going concern and maximise the return to creditors”.
