Picture special: How Yorkshire battled the Boxing Day floods

They were the worst floods seen in a generation, and the rising waters have caused utter devastation across our wonderful county.

Homes have been destroyed, businesses threatened and livelihoods put in danger. The cost of repairs is likely to be millions of pounds, and the time to recover could yet be years.
