A man, 28, has been charged with hindering lawful work, by climbing onto the tanker.

A 56-year-old man has also been charged with tampering with a motor vehicle, by getting onto the tanker while it was on a road.

They have been released on bail on condition that they don't return within 1.5 miles of the hydraulic fracturing site, which includes the village of Kirby Misperton.

A 27-year-old woman has also been charged with wilfully obstructing Main Street, Kirby Misperton, during the same incident. She has been released on unconditional bail.

All three will appear at York Magistrates Court on February 15.
