Heading the Main Ring programme this year will be the Shetland Pony Grand National which sees youngsters race head to head on their speedy mini mounts around the arena.

Elsewhere, visitors will find demonstrations of country skills, fashion shows, exhibitions of regional food and drink and various displays in the show rings.

This summer’s event will be show director Bill Cowling’s last in the top job having announced his decision to step down from the prominent position in October last year, and he has high hopes of bowing out on another fine year for the show.
