Bill Cowling, the show’s director, said: “Our woodlands are a wonderful backdrop for some of the country’s most spectacular scenery and are the setting for a whole host of activities – from cycling to birdwatching to horse riding. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate that, and the photos will be a wonderful addition to this year’s Great Yorkshire Show.”

The show has a dedicated woodland area and at the forestry pavilion there will be a range of competitive classes including wood turning, wood carving, marquetry and stick making,
