Fake gardener cheated woman out of cash
The elderly woman was approached at her home in Tarn Moor Crescent, Skipton, on October 25 by a man who offered to prune the trees in her garden.
They agreed a price of several hundreds pounds for his services but after she handed over the money, the man left saying he was going to buy some petrol and never returned.
The suspect is described as between 30 and 40 years old, 6ft 3in, with broad shoulders, a muscular build and big feet.
He was wearing a dark woollen hat, a high-visibility vest and a grey, long-sleeved top. Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Andrew Bell, of Skipton Safer Neighbourhood Team, on 0845 6060247 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
