Family dancers promote cancer run

CANCER survivor Danielle Pacey was joined by her daughter Millie in a dance demonstration yesterday which aimed to attract women to take part in the annual Race for Life.

Mrs Pacey, 25, found out she had Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2009 when she was pregnant with her second child Macauley and had to have an early Caesarean delivery at 35 weeks so she could start chemotherapy.

By October that year she was in remission and is now pregnant with her third child, something the 25-year-old said she “feared would never happen”.

Mrs Pacey, of Manor Park, Sheffield, donned her “war paint” and a bright pink T-shirt to join a team of dancers to perform the Cancer Slam at Sheffield’s Meadowhall centre.

She said: “I’m absolutely determined to get my own back on this terrible disease.”
