You no longer need to sit down to a full beef roast to enjoy the Sunday staple, after one Harrogate bar served up a Yorkshire pudding burger. Instead of bread, the homemade beef patty is served between two Yorkshire puddings at Rift & Co, which has recently re-opened in the old Royal Baths building.

Bar manager Jeremy Ambrose came up with the idea after being inspired by a doughnut burger on the menu of Leeds restaurant Reds True BBQ. He said: “People love the simplicity of it.”
