Hide AdDr David Marchant, museum registrar, said: “During the filming, we tried to cover the life of Amy Johnson via key objects in the Sewerby Hall collection, such as her flying helmet, her CBE medal, the canvas flying bag found at the 1941 crash site, and also a selection of family photographs from our reserve collections.”
Coun Richard Burton, East Riding Council’s portfolio holder for civic wellbeing and culture, said: “I am delighted that this coverage on national television will allow millions of viewers to see Sewerby Hall as it now looks, since the reopening last summer after the magnificent refurbishment.
The episode featuring Sewerby Hall will be shown on Wednesday, January 28 at 4.30pm on BBC One.
