Horticultural society honoured by Prince
The Prince of Wales is to become Patron of the North of England Horticultural Society for the next five years. The society was established in 1911 to encourage horticulture but since 1927 has concentrated on staging the Harrogate Spring and Autumn Flower Shows.
Show Director Martin Fish said: “We are incredibly honoured that The Prince of Wales has agreed to become Patron. His love of gardening is well known and I hope that we as a leading gardening charity can echo His Royal Highness’s enthusiasm and gardening ethos.”
