Hundreds take part in Leeds Pride parkrun

More than 400 runners participated in the Woodhouse Moor parkrun on Saturday morning, the city's first ever Pride 5k running event.

LGBT running club Leeds Frontrunners (LFR) took over the weekly event, as part of Leeds Pride's schedule of events to celebrate its tenth year.

The event - which is well attended every week - attracts people of all ages, and Saturday was no different.

A regular runner said: "It's always a great event, but it was especially fabulous this morning!

"It was a great way to celebrate Leeds Pride's tenth year!"

LFR is an LGBT running club catering for runners of all types of abilities. They are part of the International Frontrunners network, a family of running clubs which are inclusive and welcome all sections of community with an emphasis on the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.
