Inner city school ‘now going places’
Ofsted inspectors have said that City of Leeds High no longer requires significant improvement following their latest visit to the school.
The news comes after officials previously rated the school, which was threatened with closure four times in five years, as inadequate and gave it a notice to improve last year.

Hide AdBut inspectors warned that there are still steps to take to help boost the school to help it to gain a “good” grading at its next inspection.
Headteacher Georgiana Sale told the Yorkshire Post she is keen to push the school further. She said: “This is not a school that is written off anymore.
“This is a school that is going places.”
In their report Ofsted inspectors said: “The principal has steered the school through deeply troubled times with a combination of gritty resolve and irrepressible optimism.”
